Fortis offers residential pest control in Woodward Park, the master-planned area in northeast Fresno named for the large regional park near the San Joaquin River bluffs. Our HomeShield plan covers the pests most common to this area's newer, heavily landscaped homes, starting at $49 per month with quarterly visits and re-service included between visits when something new shows up. Coverage includes the 93720 zip code.
Woodward Park is one of Fresno's newer, well-kept corners. The homes are recent builds on landscaped lots, and the regional park and river bluffs sit right at the neighborhood's edge. That combination shapes the pest pressure here.
The drivers are different from the older central neighborhoods, and even from the rest of north Fresno:
- Open green space at the edge. The regional park and the San Joaquin River bluffs are a steady source of spiders, mosquitoes, and the occasional rodent pushing toward the nearest homes.
- Heavily landscaped lots. The mature plantings, mulch beds, and irrigated yards that make these homes look good also give pests harborage right up against the foundation.
- River-corridor moisture. Standing water and dense vegetation near the bluffs keep mosquito activity going through the warm months.
- Newer construction. These homes seal up tight, so the pressure stays on the outside, which is exactly where quarterly perimeter treatment does its work.
Pressure runs year-round with a clear peak from spring through early fall. The most common Woodward Park complaints we see are spider activity along eaves and exterior corners, ant trails from the landscaping to the foundation, and mosquitoes in yards closer to the park and river.
